The Newburyport Pioneer Baseball/Softball League, Inc is a program of service to the youth of Newburyport, Massachusetts.

The Pioneer League will provide the occasion for a safe, fun, healthful, and meaningful training activity under good adult leadership in an atmosphere of community participation.

The League's objective is to provide ball-playing youngsters with an exposure to goal setting and an experience of teamwork, sportsmanship, self-discipline, personal skill development, and fair play in an environment of social interaction.

Purpose: 1. To provide to youths who will be at least six years old, but not yet sixteen years old on April 30 of the playing year, the opportunity of participation, regardless of ability or gender, in the organized sport of baseball.

Purpose 2. To provide to youths who will be at least nine years old, but not yet fifteen years old on August 31 of the playing year, the opportunity of participation, regardless of ability or gender, in the organized sport of softball.
